This is a great little game, easy to pick up and hard to put down. Just enough good writing to be interesting, enough humor to provide a laugh here and there without overdoing it. Good set of progressive upgrades that keep you focused on improving. Pretty much everything that is good about small indie games... my only regret is that it isn't finished yet. :). Too expensive for what it is.It's charming, fun and it's cute for a bit, but then gets boring with not enough places to go and not enough things to spend your money on, merchanting for it's own sake gets boring. You do stuff for reward, and not just a tick of money counting which I feel like is all this game is, higher and higher numbers. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think so. It just can't be played for a long time and with other titles out there, this is maybe worth less than your average game at this price.. Just finished the game's main storyline on Standard difficulty. 25 chapters in total. Based on the total hours I've played, I've really liked the concept of the game. Simple enough for everyone to get started. Some of the missions just auto complete because I've gained enough money or completed certain task ahead.==Spoiler Alert==Pros:-Good game concept.-Simple enough to grasp the whole game (trade, battle, heroes, town missions, building completions, faction missions).-Trade system is complex yet still making money from enough grinding.-Upgrading of charater and cart is straightforward.Cons:-Grinding on trade, town missions, building completion.-Battle system simple but too repetitive on selecting and clicking.-No guide list what is needed on building mission for each town. You have to travel back and forth.-Main storyline still got room for improvement.Overall: Recommended. Have a relax setting and gameplay. The main storyline don't rush you to complete it. You can have you own sweet time completing and plowing money from trades. The trade play is more of a buy low, keep along the trade route, sell high when opportunity arises. Battle is straightforward win/lose outcome.. the game has great potential however it still needs alot of work to make it a truly great gamehere are a few of the pros and cons as i see them.+ UI design is simple and too the point, it is rarely hard to find something you are looking for, my one problem with this however is that the tier qualities of all goods should be marked from the beginning in the market menu, rather than being completely hidden until you find where to unlock them+ music is basic but also not to conflicting playing the game for few hours will not neccaserilly cause you to go insane+ art style is is endearing, however the game could definitely be improved by forcing the art style to be applied to a 3D setpiece you can explore in towns and along the way.- events are very limited in diversity and after about 6 hours you have experience most parts of the game- apart from a few scenarios there is very little to do when moving from town to town, the game could benifit greatly from introducing different mechanics during transport. for example allow the player to control the wagon create campsites and forage for herbs or hunt for animals along the way to provide extra income for the merchant when they arrive, adding NPC with quests on the path would also help to diversify the content.(basically make the wagon menu screen it's own lil part of the game)- no ability to pass time in town meaning you must travel on the roads even if you only need to wait 2 hours for demand to spike for a resource- town houses so far have no actual purpose and therefore no actual valueoverall i rate this bad boy a solid 7.5\/10. Although my playtime in this game is low, I am going to share my experience with those who are thinking about getting it:This game has a really unique concept that understandable GUIs. The art style is good, and although you begin to see repeating random events every once and a while, there are enough of them to get by.In my opinion, this game is something that you would end up playing when you were bored-- Just a simple, *extremely* easy game that can take your mind off of things, even if just for a little bit. There's just something so nice about raising your reputation in each town, and completing missions to gain gold and other valuable items, along with random events that occur on the road and through exploring different towns.All-in-all, I would reccomend this game. It is a very casual game, and sometimes you need something like that. At it's core, it's simply comparing numbers in different towns, but the devs make it feel like so much more than that. Also, as a note to the developers if they read this: The fact that one of the cart upgrades has a .50 attatched to it is quite annoying... Although it makes no real difference, it glitches the money out of the proper area slightly, overlapping some other GUI features. Also, the fact that my money is '3637.50' makes my OCD have a panic attack every time I check my money. But, aside from that and the lack of difficulty for players who want more of a challenge, I love this game and will continue to play it.. Still work in progress but quite solid game. Give it a go.. This is one of the most charming titles ive played in a long time. Simple. Fun. Rewarding. 8/10. Everything from the aesthetics down the functionality of the game are top notch. Over the last 24 hours the game has been updated beyond recognition and it has a strong future.Potential for a cult classic if it ever overflows with content. As it stands though ive currently maxed out the game. Binge playing mind you.. I want that gold.. at half price... Then i'll wheel next door and sling it for triple profit.. Design notes and current development focus II: Part 2 of the design notes - this time, heroes. No More Heroes. New cart upgrades on the way!: One of the upcoming features currently being worked on is a new set of cart upgrades. These upgrades work differently to the existing set; rather than being a linear set of improvements, these parts will need to be discovered and then slotted onto the cart, allowing you to customise your trading vessel in various ways.Have around 15 planned at the moment and I'd love to hear ideas for any others you'd like to see, comment here or in the discussion forums if you have any thoughts on must have cart upgrades!. Version 0.5: Version 0.5 is finally here! Key additions include recruitable heroes, a visual day/night cycle on the map, improved background bonuses, rebindable controls, an updated combat deployment system, tailors, feature unlock changes, fighter management improvements, animated combat elements, storage in guild houses and a scenario system. Please note: Saves from previous versions of the game will not work at all with this new version.Systems.
